St. Charles, IL —The Sidwell Company, an employee-owned, St. Charles, Illinois-based provider of geographic information systems (GIS), aerial photography, photogrammetric and mapping services, has been selected by Jefferson County, Iowa and Camden County, Missouri to provide 911 centerline mapping services in each jurisdiction.
As part of Jefferson County’s GIS project, the County also signed an agreement with Sidwell to perform a supplemental project for the County’s E911 department. This project involves the acquisition of attribute information from the current centerline file that is maintained by E911 using source data from GeoComm, and repair of segmentation differences and merging of this attribute-rich data with the geographically correct centerline data that was compiled as part of the GIS project.
Camden County has selected Sidwell to complete a two-phase centerline project to adjust the County’s network of road centerlines to fit existing aerial photography, and to realign address points to associated buildings based on their existing location and the apparent location of the building or parcel.
