St. Charles, IL – The Sidwell Company is pleased to announce that Tom Ricker, Director of Project Management, and Brett Black, Photogrammetric Account Manager, will present at the Chicago Metro Chapter of American Public Works Association in Addison, IL on March 19.
Tom will present The Basics of GIS & Public Works, covering basic functions of the geodatabase, such as utility networks, relationship classes, and hyperlinking relational databases, which can improve the capture, storing and organization of municipal and utility information. He will also cover how to merge GIS data with other software such as Microsoft Word and ArcGIS Desktop.
Brett will present GPS and GIS Technologies for Public Works, focusing on GPS technology for both survey grade and GIS mobile mapping grade receivers. He will not only provide info and specifications for the market’s newest technology and background on GPS methodology and field practices, but will also outline how to streamline field data collection, optimize accuracy, and successfully integrate GPS into your workflow to increase productivity. Several GPS receivers will be available at the presentation for interested individuals to view.
