St. Charles, IL – Ferry County, Washington, has chosen The Sidwell Company to convert their existing parcel datasets into ESRI’s Geodatabase format. The County’s current GIS parcel database consists of three incomplete and outdated ESRI shapefiles; the jurisdiction is instead looking to combine and manage the parcel inventory in one contiguous database. Sidwell will complete the conversion and provide Ferry County with their industry-acclaimed training course, “Cadastral Editing within ArcMap,” to facilitate implementation and the County staff’s use of the new geodatabase system.
Also as part of the scope of services to be provided, The Sidwell Company will use the existing Ferry County Assessor’s tax maps and mining claim documents to finish the compilation of missing parcel and mining claim information in the GIS. Using the existing hard copy tax maps as the primary source of information, Sidwell will also add parcel number attributes to previously created and new parcel polygons.
