St. Charles, IL – In an effort to satisfy their goal of having a public access GIS website with user friendly query and reporting tools, St. Clair County, Illinois has selected The Sidwell Company, an employee-owned, St. Charles, Illinois-based provider of geographic information systems (GIS), aerial photography, photogrammetric and mapping services to provide development, hosting and maintenance services for a GIS website. This dynamic website will render maps on-the-fly from the county’s cadastral geodatabase, and will be designed using ESRI’s ArcGIS® Server 9.2 web services. Professional services to be provided to the county include: initial web page design, with website map navigation, parcel number querying, and end-user parcel reporting capabilities and display of aerial imagery; end-user logging of the referring IP address; data warehousing and updates; system security and backup; and ongoing technical support.
