St. Charles, IL - The Southern Alameda County Geographic Information Systems Authority (SACGISA) has selected The Sidwell Company to provide a needs analysis of their current GIS addressing and parcel development workflows, database design and migration as well as defining work tools and integrated map printing products. The City of Fremont, which is spearheading this project, is looking to enhance and improve the business processes currently employed at the City for managing the assignment of 911 addresses and parcel APN numbers. SACGISA is also looking to enhance the method by which this data is distributed among other entities in the jurisdiction.
The first phase of the project will include an on-site workflow analysis for the City of Fremont and Union Sanitary District (USD) that will include individual and group interviews, inventory of existing hardware, software, network connectivity, and data to determine the current state of the GIS. This will allow Sidwell’s team to recommend the best possible solutions for the City of Fremont and JPA as they move ahead with this important GIS initiative. As part of this project Sidwell will also provide on-site technical consulting in the development of map annotation, along with recommendations for the enhancement of the City’s current GIS map plotting solution.
